Wig Advice: How to Style a Lace Front Wig
Published By Brinna Blaine on 2012-05-24 225 Views

Lace front wigs are beautiful, but if you don't properly position, fit, and style them, they can look just as unrealistic as a lesser, cheaply made wig.  You have to know what you're doing and this includes how you style your wig.

Once you've applied your lace front wig, here is how to style it.

How To Style A Lace Front Wig

Lace front wigs are both beautiful and realistic. In some ways, they are similar to your own hair. However, a lace front wig is still a wig. When styling your lace front wig, refer to the same guidelines you would use when styling a regular wig. Take care to note whether your wig is natural human hair or a synthetic and follow the styling guidelines for that type of wig.

As for lace front wigs in particular, make sure the adhesive is completely dry before attempting to style your wig. Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions to determine how often to wash your wig and wash it according to those instructions.

This ensures that the wig does not detach or slip. When removing your wig, make sure to remove the glue first. Use a lace remover to release the adhesive to minimize any damage to your skin or hair. Give the remover a few minutes to work before removing your wig.
